Festive cheer & a very mysterious object

Thought it might be nice to deliver Christmas cards for everyone on the pier this aft. Well I had to use up the spare cards, I sort of over-estimated how many were required… Blimey that sounds awful, it really was done with Christmas cheer…

Subtle, not over the top of course…

Written inside was:

Happy Christmas

From Heather & Dave

“Takey Tezey”

Hallmark’s got nothing on that, & even though we’ve already been introduced to some folks, we still can’t remember their names. Turned out today we’d ALL forgotten each others names, so it’s not as embarrassing as it sounds…

Tell you what, considering how small this pier is, it has to be one of the most colourful. With Christmas lights everywhere, we’re on a par with Blackpool illuminations, strike that, better than. In fact the whole marina is lit up with a colourful plethora of twinkly things. So many more than we’ve ever seen on any marina, apparently there’s a prize for best tarted up decorated boat…

It’s got to be the one with Santa, his sleigh & the reindeer(s) on the roof. Others have one or the other but not all three. The same boat has also got lights all round the edges, dangly lights in the cratch & another lot wrapped all round the swan neck. Must be visible from the Space Station…

On a different note: I found this today, so took a mystery photo, but what is it? I had no idea at the time. It’s the green thing you need to study carefully. (And being as it’s such a crap quality photo, that’s very difficult indeed), but it all adds to the excitement…

I’ve noticed Sue (nb No Problem) has been running a very interesting “wassat?” photo competition on her blog recently. So for copyright purposes this is the same but different, & it’s called “watsit?” Don’t worry Sue, I won’t steal your creativity, it’s just a “one off,” bit like me…
