Driving back to the boat today, 100 miles took us over 4 hours!!! That’s Thelwall viaduct in the distance, 4 lanes – gridlocked.
So the Sat Nav kindly took us on a Disney Tour down the “A” roads --- thing is, so does everyone else’s…
Oh, & we had a Chinese meal last night with Liam, Maddy & Ryan, it tasted nice enough at the time, then we went to see some friends we don’t see very often. Great night, well half of it was, Dave was up during the early hours being sick, (& the other business)…
That must be what you get when you order an Indian curry from the only Chinese restaurant in town that’s open on Boxing Day. Thing is, I don’t like curry, so I had chicken flied lice…
By the time 6am dawned this morning, Dave was still running (excuse pun) back & forth to the loo, so I thought I was immune. But it’s been like a delayed reaction for me. We’re back at the boat all calm & serene now, but motorway mayhem is still driving me nuts driving my guts big style. Sadly even white wine won’t help. (As if). Thankfully the lurgy didn’t “get” anyone else…
All in all a rotten egg day then. When a friend heard about the traffic chaos, he mentioned it might’ve been quicker by boat, hmm…
Well. let’s put it this way, there must’ve been more stoppages on the M6 today than all of the canal system put together…
