So we set off for Burton town centre this aft, for some reason it always seems to be about “repairs” when we go there. Hmm, remember the watch repair that ended up being a new watch…?
Today’s potential “repairs” were the wide angle lens for the camera, & my Vodafone USB stick that’s got it’s drivers in a twist. Things sorta started off how they went on. Mrs Jessop tried the lens on one of their display cameras, same one as ours & it worked beautifully. A friend of ours once tried the same lens on his camera as a test drive, & it wouldn’t work on his either…
But take it into the shop & Hey Press Presto, everything’s perfect & we’re just a couple of thicko’s – I just can’t see it myself. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder & all that crap. Anyway it was still working on OUR camera when we got back, but just wait till next time I see a buzzard / some exotic creature / a giant panda or a UFO crashing to the ground, CLICK & [BLANK]
Then there’s the dingle dongle that’s all wrongle. It won’t reinstall itself because it thinks it’s already married to my laptop with the WRONG drivers that won’t be killed. As things stand comms will be cut - while out on the cut…
So I took it in to have a word with Mr Vodafone, turns out I know more than he did. I was told to delete it, so I said “you mean uninstall, then delete the detritus from the registry & Windows?” Answer: Yeh. (Only tried that 1000 times with different variations). I wouldn’t care but it’s one of those “Pay as you go” thingy’s & there’s still 20 quid on it. I’m no cheapskate (honest), but its the principle that counts ain’t it…?
Include the smartfone & I was walking round with miniature version of PC World in my handbag…
So in an effort to unwind, de-stress & calm us all down, here’s some dramatic fluffy cloud photos I took the other day – with the faithful lens…
Ah wonderful, I’m still pissed off though…
