That’s just not tennis

Well, the tennis stars of the world have crossed court crossed the channel & finally made their way to Good Old Blighty. From French Open to Queens Club it only took them 3 days to get here, (rain delays). I dunno, there haven’t half been some complaints, what a racket…

Whilst on the subject of crossed channels, (continuing from yesterdays post). Andy Murraymint is on court at the moment, & so is the washer…

So who needs slow motion replays when your water pump causes said player to be suspended in mid air, while trying to hit the ball? Yes, I know Mr Murraymint is tiring trying, but at least he turns up for the occasion, got to give the poor lad some credit…

Note: The WP has now taken control of BBC2 as well – perhaps it’s another of Rupert’s takeover bids. “Hacking into a water pump – I didn’t do it my way, I have no recollection of that.”

So returning serve to the tennis for a moment. I remember being in the school tennis team. That’s about all I can remember of that experience, except for my tennis racket – what a superior piece of craftsmanship. It was the size of a large frying pan & reacted like one, yet at the time unlike a frying pan it was super cool. Except for one thing, the tape on the handle kept unravelling & getting in the way of the ball. It (the racket) had a name too, “ROCKIT” which translated means “sockit to ‘em dude.” It rarely did but never mind…

Too many puny sporting puns served up today? I thought so…
