Another Woodstock day, but not for us

Thing is we’re both full of a cold & cough thing, convinced it’s those Tesco trolleys full of bugs & germs on the handles. (The timing’s right). Bet they’re worse than shared computer keyboards with crusty biscuit crumbs, & perhaps other crusty things between the keys…

It’s very rare that either of us gets a cold / cough thing, we can both go years without one, & I feel like it’s my fault because I’ve passed it on. Yes, Dave has come out with the full blown thing today, following in my footsteps down the aisle as it were…

So Vicks & throat lozenges are the order of the day. Now, me mother used to tell me white wine “kills the bugs in your throat & acts like an antiseptic.” She’s right, we’ve both tried it out this afternoon. Pissed as farts after just 2 medicinal glasses, but the symptoms have gone. Stay warm, no drafts, & sitting in a lux con, in the sun is perfick, even if it’s not a cure…

Can you believe it? On a day like today (32 degrees in here), I’m wearing 3 T-shirts, a jacket & a scarf ---- Dave’s sporting jeans, T-shirt & sweatshirt…

Yet everyone else round here has backs, sides & front’s up on their lux con’s whilst drinking copious amounts of alcohol. Meantime those without lux cons are gathering in various social groups for BBQ’s, whilst wearing just one T-shirt & a pair of shorts each. How does that work…? Help…

Never mind Woodstock, it’s Woodstuck for us two, says she with a dripping nose & not enough energy to move…

If only rhino virus was just for rhino’s…

Do you remember the advert on TV, coughs and sneezes spread diseases.

I understand that a nightcap is good for you! A Night Nurse is my preferred option!!!!

I wonder if living aboard a boat in the fresh air and away from the general public with all their disgusting unhealthy habits makes you more prone to catching bugs when you have to rub shoulders with the masses at Tesco (other germ carrying shoppers are also available, as are other supermarkets) LOL
Hope you are both feeling better soon so that you can enjoy the summer for the next 4 days!!

Hi Kev,

Well, tha' could have a valid ergonomic explanation there chuck. However, on a countryfied note, I suspect killer bluebottles that buzz in on us may be a contributing factor, either to susceptability or immunity? I know not which - & prefer not to lol
