Just one little exception: Paul McCartney should be banned from these extravaganza's. His voice is well & truly shot, it’s so painful to listen to, you find yourself straining to reach the notes for him…
I’ve taken a couple of days off the blog, because thanks to that dam cough / cold thing last week, I’ve ended up with a chest infection. It’s clearing up now, but the antibiotics knocked me sideways. For gods sake give me a break here. Just 8 days till we go to Germany…

I have no feelings either way about the Olympics, I am proud of the UK though. So when I heard that a person being interviewed was complaining about the inequality due to the timing of the games, with it being Ramadan and some athletes would not be performing to their full ability due to fasting etc. This was a broadcast on a local radio station in the Midlands. The person being interviewed didn't say straight out that the date should be changed but there was a strong 'hint' that it should have been considered, and it was unfair. I will say no more.

From a different point of view.
Without a history book to hand some of that was hard to follow and I do think IKB took a bit of a knock as he was portrayed as ruining this green and pleasant land with "his" Industrial revolution.
Bridges, ships etc etc.
Making the country rich might be a better description.
As for the much lauded music.....
Enola Gay?? That should upset the Japanese.
Relax?? Banned at one time for showing animal/human sex and urination into mouths.
Sex Pistols doing VaC..T?? the only song to get away with the "C" word at the time.
The list goes on.....
I missed Macca as I was long in bed by then, but having dismissed him as any form of singer for many years now I am not surprised to hear he is still just as bad.
