The Watery Websites Jigsaw Puzzle

So now that the BW website has been stripped down, & the new Canal & River Trust website is up & running. Even in “preview mode” it looks very impressive…

It’s also good to see that the main homepage of Waterscape.com redirects to the C&RT website. However other Waterscape pages are still active as before…

So, (question time): Does anyone know if they plan to merge the two together?

The point being that in the past, the BW website used to redirect to Waterscape for information such as stoppages & licensing on an official basis. Which meant some information came across as being disjointed. For example, if it was coming from BW, (which both of the above were), why wasn’t it presented on their own website in one convenient place? Does anyone know if it’s going to remain that way with C&RT & if so, why?

Blimey, the old brain cell’s on overdrive today…

The Waterscape website is being closed down. Everything will be on the CRT one. This was announced right at the start of the process.

It looks as though the CART (we're all in it together!) website will hold stoppages, etc. You can register now via the 'Boating' tab for My-Trust and later on (soon I think) you can choose what emails you want to get from them (stoppages, etc) just like Waterscape provided.

Hi Adam,

Yes I heard about that ages ago, but it wasn't confirmed.

I recieved 3 emails this morning from CART, one giving me a link to transfer my (Waterscape) subscription details automatically. & 2 more saying there was a software problem & re-registering was the only way round it.

Hmm..

Dave, yeh, looks like re-registering is the only option!
No big deal, but not what was originally stated.

Ne' mind
