I think I might be on the verge of
being getting that SAD thing (Seasonal Affective Disorder). In August?? Stick an “E” in front of it & it becomes Enforced.
It’s probably because besides being fed up with another crap summer, we’ve recently returned from an average 30 – 36 degrees in Germany. And for the past couple of days I’ve been organising sunny photos on a grand scale. Rummaging through & tidying up my photos, folders & sub-folders on here. Not easy when there’s precisely 10,870 (photos) in the archives! Only then did it dawn on me just how many of them have glorious sunshine in the picture.
To be fair I do keep them in an orderly fashion, but from time to time the occasional reshuffle is required. Especially when I see a folder name & wonder what the hell’s in it – I used to know you know.
Once sorted, it’s time to back up, I keep 2 back ups of my pictures because they’re so precious to me. (External HD & a memory stick).
This time was different, I decided to remove folders full of older photos from my laptop, because even with road signs, trying to find something on here is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Folders have been renamed appropriately & sub-folders were duly copied over BEFORE the delete button was pressed. So I’m still left with 26 folders that are relevant to the here & now! (Yes I said 26).
Here’s a teensy tiny selection of sunny needles of mine:
