What I have to do at the moment is shut it down properly before shutting the lid, else I get the &quot;windows did not shut down properly&quot; on restart.<br /><br />That&#39;s because if I just close the lid, even plugged into the mains, it won&#39;t save everything in memory.<br /><br />This happened a few months ago, reseating the battery made no difference. Then I reset Power Settings to default it started working normally again! Tried it this time but no.<br /><br />Will try reseating the darn thing tomorrow.
